How to look like Kim Kardashian!!

HAIRSTYLE

Kim Kardashian is known to sport long dark hair whether it be pin straight or a curly up do, her locks are always gorgeous.

To re create her most popular hairdo you will first have to maintain long healthy hair, to do so you can invest in some of her favorite hair care products such as the Bumble and bumble tonic shampoo she claims that this leaves her hair feeling silky soft,  in addition to this she uses the ever popular Biosilk Silk Therapy which she uses before she blow drys her hair which smells great and  prevents heat damage. On several occasions she has admitted to wearing hair extensions especially for photo shoots, which is not very rare in Hollywood seeing that many celebrities wear them so don't be afraid to try them out!!! Once done correctly they can really enhance your facial features.
Most times you can see Kim wearing her signature split part bangs and loose, flowing ,voluminous curls.

MAKEUP

Kim is known for her signature smokey eyes and nude lips.
To achieve her ever flawless looks follow these tips ;

Begin with a freshly cleansed face, then apply 'Smashbox Photo Finish' primer so that your makeup lasts all day

Apply MakeupForever HD  foundation in a shade that matches your skin best seeing that everyone isn't Kim's skin tone, apply using a stippling brush,  the mac 187 is a great option, sigma also has some affordable ones. The Beauty blender also does a  great job of blending.

To conceal any under eye circles or acne scarring Kim uses the Cle De Peau concealer or the Mac Studio finish concealer,  again choose the shade that suits your skin best.

To set everything she then uses the Mac Select Sheer powder and with a light hand apply to the entire face this also ensures that your foundation lasts throughout the day.

One of Kim's favorite blushes is the Mac blush in the shade gingerly, which just adds a very subtle warmth to the face.

For the eyes, its obvious she is obsessed with smokey and dramatic eye looks, there are endless tutorials on Youtube that show you step by step tutorials on how to achieve these looks.

For those super sexy lips,( my favorite part of makeup) she uses Mac lip liner in 'Stripdown', then Mac lipstick in the shade 'Angel' which is a permanent shade from Mac so they should be available in Mac counters , and finally she tops it with NARS lip gloss in 'Turkish Delight'.

FASHION

To recreate Kim's clothing there are several key items one must invest in

Blazers
Jeggings
Scarves
Nude or Black Christian Louboutin pumps (or any affordable nude pumps)
Body hugging dresses
Velour tracksuits
Chanel handbag (or any other affordable handbags)
Tops with large embellishments

NOTE ; Kim's entire wardrobe consists of mostly neutral hues, she mainly wears black, grey and white, she has stated that those colors go with alot of pieces. Though she also wears bright colors, these are what she wears in most of her pictures.

Kim and her sisters manage their very own clothing store called 'Dash' and several of the clothing they wear can be found on this site.

OVERALL IMAGE

Kim is known for having a very, curvy yet toned body structure. This can be achieved by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and regular workout routines. Lunges, Squats and Dead lifts all play a key role in the sexy body that she is most envied for.

So hope you guys found this helpful, look out for more celebs coming soon!!

Urban Decay Clean and Sober Oil free Makeup remover Review

First of all I'm going to explain the reason I got this product.
The packaging is really cute and girly something that I tend to lean toward in a makeup or skincare product, yes I am very much interested in the contents of a product but I'm also  a sucker for cute packaging, though its not the most important thing about a product seeing that poor quality contents can reside in high quality packaging, its a definite accessory.

The overall bottle is transparent, its the liquid inside that gives the bottle a purple tint.
The front of the bottle features a pretty mermaid with ginger hair.
The back has fancy writing of the description of what the product claims to do, among other things.
The cap is a metallic purple, this covers the white dispenser pump

Pros
Awesome packaging
Comes with a dispenser pump , which is useful in controlling the amount of product that comes out
Its oil free, a must for persons that have acne prone skin
Smells great, not chemical like compared to other makeup removers (smells like lavender and cookies to me)
Clear gel like consistency is easy to remove if it happens to fall on clothing
You get a decent amount of product in the bottle (100 ml  3.4 US fl. oz)

Cons
Does not remove water proof makeup very well  (it took a good few rubs to get off my UD zero eyeliner)
Can sting a tiny bit if it gets in the eyes
Even as a cleanser it doesn't remove all your long wearing  foundation,( I still some get residue on my cotton pads when I follow with an astringent)
Is discontinued on the Urban decay  and Sephora website but you can still get it at ebay and amazon and if you live in Trinidad a store called magical makeup in Trincity mall has it.
Is very pricey ( ebay has it for 17.99 US , amazon 14.99 US and magical makeup has it for 195.00 TT

Below are its ingredients

Main Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Poloxamer 184, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium Lauroamphodiacetate, Sodium Trideceth Sulfate, Caprylyl Glycol, Hydroxide, Sodium Citrate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Diethylhexyl Syringylidene-Malonate, Benzyl Benzoate, Fragrance (parfum), Linalool, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Honey Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower/leaf extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower extract, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben and Propylparaben.

Overall its a great product if you love cute packaging and only want to remove very little makeup (not suitable for makeup that is water proof or long wearing).
Not worth the price and I expected more from Urban decay which is one of my favorite high end makeup brands.
I give it a (2 out of 5)

Hope my honest review was helpful and informative to you guys.
Thanks for reading.
Stay safe and beautiful <3

How to determine your Skin Tone!

Knowing your skin tone can come in handy when choosing a new hair color, when figuring out what color clothing is most flattering on you, and most importantly your guide for deciding what makeup shades suit you best! There are three different skin tones Cool, Warm and Neutral. Below are very detailed ways on how you determine them.

1.Hold out your forearm in natural lighting, look at your veins are they blue, green or a mixture of both? If they are green you most definitely have a warm skin tone, blue you have a cool skin tone, and if it appears to be a mixture of both green and blue then you have a neutral skin tone.

.2. Wear two pieces of jewelry, one at a time, one gold and one silver, be your own judge, which color compliments you best? If you look better with gold you most likely have a warm skin tone and with silver a cool skin tone. If you look good with both it's highly likely that you have a neutral skin tone.

 3. Try on a  true white piece of clothing and a more off white shade of clothing, which one compliments your skin the best? If it is the true white you have a cool tone and the off white a warm tone, and if both looks super sexy then you are neutral toned.

FOR WARM SKIN TONES

HAIR COLOR

When choosing a new hair color look for shades that say 'golden or warm' these tend to be most caramel, honey, auburn and burgundy shades. These shades tend to suit warm skin tones best.

CLOTHING COLORS

When shopping for clothing look for shades that are in the warm range on the color wheel, confused as to what shades are warm? don't worry think of fire, what shades remind you of fire? red, orange, yellow, and the hues in between like orange red etc.

MAKEUP COLORS

When deciding your foundation shade, look for foundations that contain a more yellow or olive undertone. These shades compliment warm skin tones gorgeously.
When choosing a red lipstick shade choose one with a more orange tone this helps to enhance warm skin tones.

FOR COOL SKIN TONES

HAIR COLOR

When choosing a new hair color look for shades that contain the words ''Ash or Cool'' in it. These shades usually contain a green, blue, or grey undertone, relax don't get scared your hair isn't going to turn these shades, they just contain those undertones to maintain the cool tones.

CLOTHING COLORS

When shopping for clothing look for shades that are cool on the color wheel, these would be colors that remind you of water such as blue, green, purple and other hues in between such as turquoise, lilac etc.

MAKEUP COLORS

When choosing foundation shades look for shades that contain a more pink or red undertones, these are most likely the undertone of someone who has a cool skin tone.
When purchasing a red lipstick look for one with a more blue undertone, again, your lips won't be blue this is just to help it maintain it's cool tone.

FOR NEUTRAL SKIN TONES

You are absolutely blessed!! As a result of that you can rock any of these shades with confidence! good for you!! I'm jealous haha!

Remember though that beauty is subjective, if you feel comfortable wearing a certain shade of lipstick or certain colors of clothing that's totally cool. These tips just serve as guidelines to choosing different items that suit your skin tone.

Thank you all for reading and have a great day :)

Home Remedies To Cure and Prevent Acne!!!

Here are some effective home remedies that blast those hideous zits and pimples into thin air!
These do it yourself recipes contain ingredients that are found right in your very own kitchen! Isn't that awesomely convenient??  Not everyone can afford those expensive treatments while on a tight budget so your wonderful friend Lisa is gonna help ya!! :)

  1. FACIAL CLEANSER
This may sound weird to quite a number of persons, but trust me it works I have tried it on several occasions.
All you need for this is toothpaste and water!! Squirt some toothpaste  into your palms just a little will do, then add some water to it and create a foamy mixture. Toothpaste helps dry out pimples and absorbs oil. Wash your face as you usually would with a cleanser.Get a CLEAN  hand towel  or paper towel and pat dry. Just a little note please refrain from using toothpaste that are used for teeth  whitening these usually contain the ingredient hydrogen peroxide that may irritate or burn the skin.

    2.  ACNE MASK

All you need for this is some non whitening toothpaste and some baking soda. Mix both in a small bowl and stir for 30 seconds. Apply mixture to each pimple. Leave on for 10 minutes and rinse.Pimples are going to look redder after this because of the menthol but that would wear off after a while.

  3.  ACNE SCRUB

What you need is some SEA salt  and some honey. Please do not use the refined ones you see at the grocery store, make sure the label says pure sea salt. Sea salt works wonders for the skin , it heals blemishes, kills bacteria and removes toxins from the skin.Mix both ingredients in a small bowl and apply to face, gently massage face for a few minutes as you would a regular facial scrub and rinse. If you have open wounds on your face this will sting, but don't think your skin is going to burn off lol! Salt on any open wound is going to sting! If it becomes unbearable simply rinse it off. You can always use the steam treatment I'm about to mention.

  4. FACIAL STEAMS

You have several to chose from!!! yay!!
Sea salt and water.
Lemon juice and water.
Baking Soda and water.

With these steams it's as simple as pouring the ingredients in some boiling water, turn of the stove, then place your face over the pot, not on the pot! and allow the steam to penetrate and clear your pores. If your face becomes too hot, simply move away from the steam for a few minutes and then resume when you are ready.

Now there are a couple on the spot treatments you can use to help heal your pimples. All you do is apply some on each pimple, leave on  for a few minutes and RINSE! haha so easy its crazy!
 Apple Cider Vinegar
 Lemon Juice
 Sea salt and water mixture
 NON WHITENING  Listerine

NB Remember to use a moisturizer after any of these methods, seeing that these ingredients can be very drying to the skin.

Tips for preventing acne breakouts!!! whoo hoo my favorite part!

  1. Dont touch your face unless you have washed your hands! hands contain acne causing bacteria and can cause several other illnesses when place in the mouth.
  2. Do not sleep with makeup on.That's a death sentence in my book.Seriously I have done that twice in my life and each time I woke up with about three pimples. How lovely ;)
  3. Change pillow cases regularly. Come on we all know when we are travelling whether it the maxi or the taxi or the train or whatever your hair touches the seat and we bring that home to our pillows each night.Gross right? I know.
  4. Clean makeup brushes at least once a week. Germs enjoy new breeding grounds to get their groove on!
  5. After a cleanser, ensure that you use a toner or astringent to remove any excess  makeup or dirt that the cleanser didn't take off. Try this and you'll see what I'm talking about.
  6. Drink tons of water and maintain a healthy lifestyle we must be clean on the inside  to ensure that our outside glows with beauty!

Thank you guys for reading hope you found this informative and helpful in your battle with acne!
Love you all and stay beautiful
